LevLane Wins KFC-Houston Account

Philly Ad Club: After a one-month review, the KFC-Houston Advertising Co-op, Houston, has named LevLane as its advertising agency of record. Other review particpants were DGWB, Santa Ana, CA, and the incumbent, J&A Integrated Thinking, Brentwood, Tenn. A budget of $2.5 million will go to TV, radio, digital, print, P-O-P and outdoor, with first programs due to launch in January.

Selection was based on a strategic sales-building plan. KFC-Houston Advertising Co-op president Ali Kamal states, “LevLane presented a roadmap that was both thorough, and most importantly, appropriate for this highly competitive DMA. Church’s, Chick-fil-A, and Popeyes are all strong presences here. It is not an easy environment.”

LevLane sr. vp, account director Chris Ponzio adds, “LevLane has a 25-year track record of building KFC?sales. We look forward to extending that record in one of the most crowded chicken/quick service marketplaces in the country.”

LevLane’s David Lane Named to Wildlife Council

David Lane, president and co-founder of LevLane and board chair of environmental organization PennFuture, Harrisburg, PA, was recently chosen as Pennsylvania’s one delegate to the National Wildlife Foundation’s annual affiliates council, representing PennFuture. The National Wildlife Foundation affiliates council is charged with electing key members of NWF’s leadership and setting the organization’s conservation policy priorities. Under Lane’s leadership, PennFuture was named the sole Pennsylvania affiliate of the National Wildlife Foundation. A budget of under $1 million will go to b2b print and digital advertising, collateral, events, Web site design and public relations. First work, targeting private bankers, wealth managers and private placement insurance brokers, will break in November.

Josh joined LevLane in 2003. Also promoted was Jake Hancock from account manager to senior account manager, handling strategic planning for Beneficial Bank, Fairmount Park Conservancy, and Support Center for Child Advocates, among other accounts.

Advertising agency LevLane assigned Atlanta KFC advertising account

dBusiness News: After a one-month internal review, the Atlanta KFC Advertising Co-op, Atlanta, has named LevLane, Phila., as its first agency of record since the co-op’s formation in 2002. All review particpants, including Tracy-Locke, Dallas, and ESW Partners, Chicago, were existing KFC local co-op roster agencies. A 2011 budget of $2.5 million will go to TV, radio, digital (including mobile), print, P-O-P and Outdoor, with first promotions due to break in January.

Selection was based on a strategic sales-building plan. Atlanta KFC Advertising Co-op president Bill Byrd states, “LevLane demonstrated a solid understanding of what it takes to drive fast food sales, and also a solid commitment to partnering with us and to establishing representation here in our marketplace.”
