Advertising agency LevLane opens Atlanta office

Philadelphia – Advertising agency LevLane, Phila., has hired Laura Reese as account manager at the agency’s newly established Atlanta satellite office, where she will be responsible for the coordination of all programs and promotions, and for developing sales concepts, for the seventeen-member Atlanta KFC Advertising Co-op. Previously, Reese was regional broadcast manager for Rubin Postaer & Associates, Atlanta, working primarily on Honda and Acura.

QSR [the quick service restaurant category] is all about having brains in the market: shopping the competition, watching the local TV, being in the thick of it. LevLane Wins KFC-Houston Account

Philly Ad Club: After a one-month review, the KFC-Houston Advertising Co-op, Houston, has named LevLane as its advertising agency of record. Other review particpants were DGWB, Santa Ana, CA, and the incumbent, J&A Integrated Thinking, Brentwood, Tenn. A budget of $2.5 million will go to TV, radio, digital, print, P-O-P and outdoor, with first programs due to launch in January.

Selection was based on a strategic sales-building plan. KFC-Houston Advertising Co-op president Ali Kamal states, “LevLane presented a roadmap that was both thorough, and most importantly, appropriate for this highly competitive DMA. Church’s, Chick-fil-A, and Popeyes are all strong presences here. It is not an easy environment.”

LevLane sr. vp, account director Chris Ponzio adds, “LevLane has a 25-year track record of building KFC?sales. We look forward to extending that record in one of the most crowded chicken/quick service marketplaces in the country.”

The KFC?Houston Advertising Co-op includes fourteen members in the Houston DMA. LevLane already manages seven other KFC?regional co-op accounts, located in Vt., Mass., N.Y., Penn., Ga. and Fla., and representing in total over 400 restaurants in five of the nation’s top ten DMAs.

The assignment, with spending estimated at $2.5 million, had been handled by J&A Integrated Thinking, Brentwood, Tenn. LevLane also handles the accounts of seven other KFC regional co-ops.

All review participants, including Tracy-Locke, Dallas, and ESW Partners, Chicago, were existing KFC-local co-op roster agencies. A 2011 budget of $2.5 million will go to TV, radio, digital (including mobile), print, P-O-P and outdoor, with first promotions due to break in January. The Atlanta KFC Advertising Co-op includes ten members in the Atlanta DMA. LevLane already manages six other KFC regional co-op accounts, in VT, MA, NY, PA and FL.
