Media Supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the integrated client planning group, applying both digital and traditional media solutions
  • Research and development of advertising media programs across spectrum of traditional and digital media channels.
    • Analysis of client marketing data leading to strategy setting
    • Interpretation of demographic data and secondary research to identify desired
      target audiences
    • Development of media plans/creation/maintenance of media flow chart and directives to guide buying process
    • In-depth knowledge of paid digital media concepts and audience trends management/reporting tools
  • Negotiation, placement and stewardship of media
    • Evaluates potential delivery of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which
      would most effectively drive KPIs
    • Works with media sales representatives to develop customized programs that meet
      client budgets
    • Maintains all media buys and is responsible for the post-buy analysis
  • Strategize and manage the creation and optimization of self-managed digital media campaigns
    • Audience Identification and Targeting
    • Campaign Testing (Objective/Tactics/Ads)
    • Budget pacing and actualization
  • Preparation and presentation of media plans for client meetings, and regular written client communication
  • Responsible for the ordering, billing, and reconciliation of approved media buys
    • Strong working knowledge of the Agency’s media buying software and billing software
    • Manages media staffers assistance in completing this responsibility
  • Reporting and analysis of media results with a perspective on recommending strategic
    and tactical changes essential to the marketing mix
  • Supervise and train junior level staff in media planning and buying

Requirements

  • 8+ years of media planning/buying
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated presentation and writing skills
  • Experience negotiating with and managing independent vendors
  • Skilled in self-managed paid digital media channels like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Pinterest and/or Google Ads
  • Experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software
  • Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multitask in a deadline-driven environment
  • Professionalism and integrity necessary to represent the Agency
  • Experience and working knowledge of media research tools and resources
  • A creative thinker with a passion for generating great ideas on behalf of our clients
  • An articulate, friendly, “whatever-it-takes” attitude, along with a strong work ethic
  • A lifelong learner with the desire to keep current in the changing media world through self-directed efforts
