Description
LevLane is looking for an SEO Director responsible for planning and implementing SEO strategies for healthcare, banking, higher-education and senior living clients.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Minimum 3+ years SEO experience, agency experience preferred but not required, a mix of in-house and agency experience is considered a plus
- Deep understanding and ability to communicate core SEO concepts such as indexing, ranking factors, keyword relevance, etc.
- Ability to manage reporting for 10-15 clients per month, involvement in 1-3 website builds per month, as well as on-going coordination with social media/press relations teams as needs arise
- A focus on accurate, effective, and efficient execution with a structured and process-oriented approach
- Experience planning and implementing SEO strategies across a range of different websites within different industries
- Confidence speaking with clients about their SEO needs, explaining data and insights, and presenting actionable recommendations
- Proactive coordination with members of other teams (web development, copy writers, social media, paid search, etc.)
- Self-motivated with the ability to both take direction and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent analytical skills, must be able to analyze data, derive insights, and develop recommendations to be presented to the client
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem identification and resolution skills
- Fluent with current industry trends, such as Google algorithm updates and other relevant tech trends affecting SEO
- Experience working with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and other analytics platforms
- Experience using standard SEO research, ranking, and backlink tools, including SEMrush, Moz, Majestic, Screaming Frog, and Google Keyword Planner
- Demonstrated ability to tie SEO activities to website and brands goals in order to show measurable impact on client business
- Solid understanding of how to leverage social media channels to help drive SEO strategy
- Solid understanding of paid search and how to leverage SEO to help increase paid search quality scores
- Ability to measure SEO strategy effectiveness (changes to rankings, traffic, conversions), derive insights, develop recommendations, and make decisions based on data
- Demonstrated technical SEO experience, including creation of redirect documents, robots.txt files, sitemap files, and rich snippets
- Ability to troubleshoot SEO technical issues and make actionable and well-informed recommendations based on your findings
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, vlookup functions, and conditional functions
- Effective project management skills, including demonstrated ability to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience scoping SEO work and creating Statements of Work
- Experience pitching new SEO business to prospective clients and growing SEO business for existing clients
- Experience with local and national SEO, international SEO is considered a plus, but not required
- Any level of programming or web development experience is considered a plus, but not required
