Billing/Revenue Manager

LevLane, a premier marketing agency in Philadelphia, is seeking a highly-motivated, detail-oriented individual to support the Finance department through the open Billing & Revenue Manager position. This person will be responsible for all functions associated with accurate record-keeping in addition to other duties assigned by the Controller.

Billing Responsibilities:

  • Review projects for proper time or expenses to prepare invoices to clients (including Media)
  • Confirm dates of invoices, posting periods, revenue accounts correct
  • Send invoice to the clients in a timely fashion
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients
  • Follow up from on collections so clients pay on terms, send statements monthly
  • Create new clients, maintain rate sheets, billing structures, terms updates, address
  • Organize and hold monthly meetings as needed with Account Service team to ensure proper invoicing
  • Maintain server files where invoices are stored for reference
  • Review expenses and time against estimates before invoicing to ensure accuracy
  • Follow up with staff to ensure time is done
  • Follow up with payables for proper coding and billing of vendor costs and AMEX charges
  • Enter client receipts

Revenue Responsibilities:

  • Organize and hold monthly revenue calculation meetings with appropriate stakeholders
  • Make monthly revenue entries in a timely fashion
  • Maintain revenue accuracy against projects and timesheets
  • Review invoices against projections – follow up with Account Mangers on discrepancies
  • Reconcile Media orders to actual quarterly
  • Remedy set up issues in the software for revenue accuracy
  • Work with Finance Manager on predicting client payments for Cash Flow purposes
  • Knowledge of GAAP and Revenue Recognition for IRS and reporting standards

Reporting Responsibilities:

  • Run various monthly revenue and billing analysis reports
  • Assist Controller/CFO in monthly reporting meetings with appropriate stakeholders

Qualifications and skills:

  • Education/Experience
    • BS in Accounting + 1-2 years’ relevant experience; OR 2-4 years’ experience
